Salvador Dalí fréquente Cadaqués dès son enfance et s'installe plus tard à Portlligat, un village voisin. Nous avons profité de la proximité de Figueres pour visiter son musée - fantastique ! L’œuvre qui m'a le plus impressionné (par sa taille -121m x 211m- et par sa vision) est celle intitulée "Gala contemplant la mer Méditerranée" : si on recule d'env. 20 m on voit apparaître le portrait d’Abraham Lincoln".

PANORAMIC VIEW OF HE BAY OF CADAQUÉS, a pretty fishing village with a fascinating history that is still evident in its architecture. Its historic old town is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, white buildings and blue decorations. Salvador Dalí visited Cadaqués often as a child and later moved to the nearby village of Portlligat. We took advantage of our proximity to Figueres to visit his museum - fantastic! The work that impressed me most (for its size -121m x 211m- and its vision) is the one entitled "Gala contemplates the Mediterranean": if you step back some twenty metres, the portrait of Abraham Lincoln appears".

Seine historische Altstadt ist ein Labyrinth aus gepflasterten Gassen, weissen Gebäuden und blauen Verzierungen. Salvador Dalí besuchte Cadaqués schon als Kind und liess sich später im Nachbardorf Portlligat nieder. Wir nutzten die Nähe zu Figueres, um sein Museum zu besuchen - fantastisch! Das Werk, das mich am meisten beeindruckt hat (aufgrund seiner Grösse -121m x 211m- und seiner Vision), ist das Werk mit dem Titel "Gala betrachtet das Mittelmeer" : wenn man ca. 20 m zurücktritt, erscheint das Porträt von Abraham Lincoln".
