s'élève l'abbaye Sainte-Marie de Lonlay, une abbaye bénédictine du XIe siècle. Elle fut remaniée au XIVe et XVe siècles et a subi de nombreuses dégradations pendant les différentes guerres jusqu’aux bombardements de 1944. En contournant les bâtiments, la promenade dans le petit jardin bordé par une rivière offre une belle vue sur le chevet de l’abbatiale. Aujourd'hui c'est l'église paroissiale, et dans les annexes se trouvent la mairie, la médiathèque et le cabinet médical.

HIGH AND MAJESTIC rises Sainte-Marie de Lonlay Abbey, an 11th-century Benedictine abbey. It was remodelled in the 14th and 15th centuries and suffered extensive damage during the various wars up to and including the 1944 bombings. As you walk around the buildings, the small garden bordered by a river offers a beautiful view of the chevet of the abbey church. Today it is the parish church, and the town hall, media centre and doctor's surgery are housed in the outbuildings.

HOCH UND MAJESTÄTISCH erhebt sich die Abtei Sainte-Marie de Lonlay, eine Benediktinerabtei aus dem 11. Jh. Sie wurde im 14. und 15. Jh. umgebaut und erlitt während der verschiedenen Kriege bis zu den Bombenangriffen 1944 zahlreiche Beschädigungen. Wenn man die Gebäude umrundet, bietet der Spaziergang durch den kleinen, von einem Fluss gesäumten Garten einen schönen Blick auf das Kopfende der Abteikirche. Heute ist es die Pfarrkirche, in den Nebengebäuden sind Rathaus, Mediathek und Arztpraxis untergebracht.
