The Wallace Monument

I took this picture on my weekly walk on Dumyat. I was going up and the sun was going down. I arrived here at the right time...

The Wallace Monument is a 67-meter Victorian Gothic tower located on the summit of Abbey Craig in Stirling, Scotland. Built to commemorate the life and legacy of the 13th-century Scottish knight Sir William Wallace, the monument overlooks the historic site of the 1297 Battle of Stirling Bridge, where he led his forces during the Wars of Scottish Independence.

A fine autumnal capture of this famous monument. I have only seen this mainly the main roads but had a different view once whilst saying there for a night and half a day.
