Lairig Leacach in Winter

This is a mobile shot. We decided to walk up the Lairig Leacach pass to the bothy in the snow. It usually takes 1.5 hours, but it took us three hours to get here. Everything was buried, including the rivers, so we had to melt snow over the fire - Luckily we bought coal! We reached the bothy just as it was getting dark. You can see my friend in the doorway

Always good to see a snow scene in the height of summer (sic). I hope the fire warmed it up a bit.

Thanks Herb. The fire certainly did make it cosy! As for snow in summer it snowed on the cairngorms a couple of weeks ago! When summer does eventually arrive here I hope that it's a Saturday:)

Thank you Jose, there was lots of snow drifts and the snow was soft so we kept sinking!
