Ben Buck cairn

I often walk my local hills at night. This picture was taken from Ben Buck looking North. It's about a 6 mile (9km) circular walk and 2000ft (600m) climb. It was very cold when I took this. When I descended back into the valley it felt lovely and warm, even though my car had ice on the windscreen!

Thanks Steve, the cold did cause me rush a bit. I thank you so much for sharing your experience on how to get to know my lens. I'm looking forward to the long winter night now!

Your night photos make me want to go to Norway again for such great night skies:-) We have too much light pollution in my part of Germany....

Thanks Gudrun, I would love to go to Norway, everyhting looks like it's on a bigger scale to here. We do have some pretty dark skies in the north of this country - this picture was looking north :)
