In Silent Splendour

Loch Achtriochtan , sometimes known as Loch Trychardan, Glencoe. This pretty freshwater loch is situated just east of Glencoe village in the district of Lochaber, Argyll and Bute. In the foreground is the bridge leading to Achnambeithach Cottage, nestled beneath Aonach Dubh and with waterfalls behind it has to be one of the nicest locations in Scotland. The stone built property dates from around 1900 and is privately owned. The loch is under the care of the National Trust for Scotland.

This is one of my most loved locations.

I have added a song from Pink Martini featuring China Forbes, called 'Splendor in the Grass'

As usual from you Carol you have furnished us with a splendid Scottish landscape. Although we have driven through Glencoe on numerous occasions we have never been down to this Loch. An experience sadly missed I see. Well done.
