Thanks! The orginal building was constructed by the father of John Flamstead The First Astronomer Royal in the c17th before being rebuilt by the clock maker John Whitehurst in the c18th. it was also home of the important eighteenth century painter Joseph Wright. The front dates from a 1920s road widening scheme but is good for its time. Unfortunately its been empty for about a decade and Historic England refuse to list it. I doubt theorefore if it has a future
