Pekin ducks are renowned for NOT going broody, but one of our two ducks did. She sat on a nest and everyday the other duck would join her and lay another egg there. Oh dear. But what the heck, So we let them do it, and after a fortnight they both took up sitting on the nest full time. Out of ten eggs one finally hatched. At the point, they take turns in accompanying the duckling to food and water while the other continues to sit on the nest. Does not look hopeful for the other eggs though.
