2013 - my first try at putting pieces of glass in the bottom before firing. It gave it the effect I wanted, but as it cracks when fired (the ceramic shrinks more than the glass as it cools) it means it has a porous base, so water slowly leaks out. Also, some of the cracks are a bit sharp, so not so desirable for a doggy water bowl. But I still liked it so much it has given me the motivation to learn to use a wheel and get a perfect bowl shape to do this again.
