Fonzie found this corella while we were walking through in Fish Creek, flapping on the ground. (We have big flocks of them around here.) It wasn't clear what was wrong, so we took it home. I called the Wildlife Emergency number, but the answering machine just said they would call me back in the morning. The vet is also closed till morning. So we put it in a cage with clean bedding, water and some seeds, and after helping it to drink it seemed to perk up a lot. We put a towel over it to keep it dark and secure. We checked a few hours later but it had died. Sigh.
