Ad stands, manly and proud, beside the new magpie feeder, his loyal lamb by his side. The feeder is not wonky: it is deliberately tilted to allow rainwater to drain from holes. The maggies hang out in the sheep paddock, so we thought we would make friends with them with our bacon rinds, before they ever think about dive bombing us in spring.
