Berny replied to Edna Edenkoben:

Edna Edenkoben replied to Berny:

Stimmt.

Great image, Berny. I looked up Wikipedia and found "The reaction of calcium carbide with water was the basis of the industrial manufacture of acetylene,". So there would indeed have been real risks associated with smoking.

Berny replied to Lars Sözüer:

Vielen Dank, Lars!

Excellent detail and beautiful light Berny........the old machinery looks fascinating.........but possibly dangerous to work in.

I especially like the peeling green paintwork, which stands out nicely.
