Das war wohl einmal eine Spalte, in die härteres Magma geflossen und erstarrt ist und dann rundherum erodiert.....

Interessant. Also durch Erosion freigelegte Schlote von früheren Vulkanen, bei denen nur die harte erkaltete Magmamasse übrig ist... ?

An amazing series Berny...............with a strange other-worldly landscape. The "posts" in the PiPs look like petrified trees?

Fantastic details and textures all round, especially the close up shots!

I think the "posts" are from a gap filled with magma 1000s of years ago and then eroded so that the harder material partly remained....Many thanks, Keith!
