Vielleicht schreib ich mal kurz, warum die Ballone in dieser Jahreszeit gerade hier starten.
Sommertags sind Ballonfahrten nämlich nur im Flachland möglich, weil die Thermik über Berghängen gefährliche Turbulenzen verursacht. (Nur Wasserstoffballons können die Alpen sommertags in großer Höhe ungefährlich überqueren.) Sogar im Flachland können die Turbulenzen um die Mittagszeit zu groß werden und die Ballone manövrierunfähig machen. Deshalb starten sie vorzugsweise in den Morgen- oder Abendstunden.
In Gebirgsregionen sind Ballonfahrten deshalb nur im Winter möglich, wenn es praktisch keine Thermik gibt. Dann können sie dort sogar zur Mittagszeit fliegen.

Let me try to explain, why balloons fly over the alps only in wintertime.
In summertime ballooning is only possible in lowlands, because there is too much thermal lift in mountainous areas. (Only hydrogen balloons may cross the alps in summertime in high altitude.) Even in the lowlands too many turbulences might be at noon. They disable the balloons. That's the reason, why ballons preferably are starting in the morning or evening hours.
Therefore balloning in mountainous regions is only possible in wintertime. Because there is no thermal lift in that season, thy may fly the whole day, whenever they want.
