Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast / Savonnières
Thanks to the good development of the river trade, the village was prosperous until the middle of the 9th century.
At the end of 853, however, Norman troops went up the Cher and burned down everything in their path, including the houses of Savonnières and its church.
