Tabitha has always been an independent kitty and offered up affection on her own terms. She was an extremely hardy housecat and excellent mouser - perhaps due to her genes and early upbringing on a farm (her mother was a barn-wise farm cat and her daddy was probably a handsome drifter... and well; you know how it is).
Tabitha came to us in the summer of '97 and adapted quickly to her cosmopolitan environs. City living did not seem to intimidate her at all. However, she tolerated no nonsense from anyone (least of all from Milo, our siamese), and quickly bonded with everyone in the household (and us with her). She became very territorial over her household and backyard domain and lorded over everything like the grande dame matriarch she was.
It's hard to say goodbye to 19 years of companionship.
Thank you for a lifetime of memories. We will love and remember you always.
