Well seen and taken Anna, I think it is because the colour that is reflected in the water is missing where the ring is so the ring appears to be on top because the water appears clear. I hope the translator understands what I am trying to say :)))

Ce qu l'on constate bien c'est le ménisque formé par la pellicule de l'eau, et bien visible grâce au reflets de la PiP
j'aurais été curieuse de voir l'image originale en couleur...
