Madagascar, The Eastern Lesser Bamboo Lemur (Hapalemur griseus) in the Forest of Kirindy
The eastern lesser bamboo lemur (Hapalemur griseus), also known as the gray bamboo lemur, the gray gentle lemur, and the Mahajanga lemur is a small lemur endemic to Madagascar.
They feed primarily on bamboo. They can move quickly through bamboo groves by jumping from stem to stem.
Their fur is gray, often with a reddish marking on their head. They average 28.4 cm in length, and their tail is long, averaging 36.6 cm.
