Greece, Kerkyra (Corfu), The Cathedral of Saint Spyridon
The Cathedral of Saint Spyridon is dedicated to Saint Spyridon of Tremithus, considered the island's patron saint. The saint's relics housed in the cathedral are among the most revered relics of the Orthodox Church.
The current cathedral building was built in 1590, and the relics of Saint Spyridon arrived in Corfu in 1489.
