The Achilleion Palace was built in 1890 by Empress Elisabeth of Austria.
The sculptures, based on Greek mythology, were created by the renowned German sculptor Ernst Herter.

Such fantastic skill in producing sculptures such as these,. around the world too - where just hands - mallets and chisels produced such accurate results,. the folds in the cloth etc. // Dj.
