Bulgaria, Kovachevitsa, Two-floor Stone House with a Wooden Upper Floor and a Roof Made also of Stones
The village of Kovachevitsa today retains its authentic appearance of the 18th-19th centuries and is declared an architectural and historical reserve in Bulgaria. The houses are almost entirely built of stone, including the roofs, and only the tallest have a wooden upper floor with hanging balconies.
