The Roman Baths (Therms) in Kyustendil are the second largest complex of ancient Roman baths in Bulgaria.
In the 1st century, the Romans founded the city of Pautalia (now Kyustendil), which became an important fortress, a trade center, and also a hydrotherapy resort due to its connection with small thermal and mineral springs. Here, on an area of ​​more than 3,500 m², is located the Asclepion of Pautalia - the temple of the god of medicine Asclepius. About 1,000 m² of this complex was occupied by the baths, which had 6 rooms connected by granite passages.
