Senso-ji is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. This is the oldest temple in Tokyo and one of its most significant. According to legend, the temple was founded in 628 on the site of the discovery of the statue of Kannon Bosatsu, - the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
