Israel, The Ridge of Mount of Shelomo (705m)

Mount of Shelomo (705m above sea level) - one of the highest in the Eilat Mountains.

The Eilat Mountains is the name of a mountain range in the Southern Negev, Israel. Rocks are composed of sandstones, igneous and volcanic rocks. Iron in the rock colors the mountains in black and purple and red. The highest peaks of the mountains include Mount of Hezekiah (838m) and Mount of Shelomo (705m). To the casual observer, it seems that the second mountain is higher than Hezekiah, although it is not.
In 1986, the area of the Eilat Mountains declared a reserve.
