One of the features of Samana, an old construction from an idea in the 1970's to build a Casino and Restaurant out on the far island, but it fell through due to lack of funds. Unfortunately, the bridges were closed to the public currently as they are being worked on to refurbish them. One morning we ventured out onto the first bridge a bit to take a picture of the hotel beach and some other scenes, but there is a lot of work being done so it was not good to go far. There is a full barrier on the longer outer bridge to stop access.
