1909 Pseudopanthera macularia (Speckled Yellow)
Geometridae, Ennominae Wingspan 26-30mm
A pretty day-flying moth usually seen on sunny days around the coastal areas in Cornwall, although they can sometimes be found flying around bushes on moorland as well. The amazing wing colouration makes it an easy species to identify, even when on the wing.
Although the UK flight season is specified as mid May through June, in Cornwall they can be seen on sunny days from April.
