Another species renowned for the strange shape of its caterpillar, which looks quite unmistakable with the long jointed true legs and the turned-up tail. Although the moth comes easily to light, they are usually males, so the chance to breed this species is very low, unless you are lucky. The caterpillars can be found on their foodplants, which are quite varied. Mostly found around established woodland.
