KS008 Earias insulana (Egyptian Bollworm)

Noctuidae Wingspan: 18mm.
A single specimen came in to the trap on the 1st September. This species seems to be widespread through the Middle Eastern countries across Asia and into the Pacific region. Generally a pest species in Cotton, it also is known to feed on Okra and Hibiscus.
