Impressively literate family - if these books were indeed read! : ) Sweet little boy - and that headboard is incredible! Although I've seen the bookcase headboard before - in fact, used my friend's one for years - I have never seen one with a built in radio before! And what's that little cubby hole next to the radio, I wonder?

Thanks, Deborah! Yes, they must have been quite a literate family! Or perhaps they just subscribed to a Modern Library book club, if there was such a thing. I thought the cubby hole was a speaker, but after taking another look, it seems like there's a tissue or cloth inside it, so it couldn't have been a speaker. I wasn't able to locate any info about this particular headboard, though there were apparently a number of different models with built-in radios that were sold over the years.
