Cottonwood House.
Cottonwood House Historic Site is located east of Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada on the Gold Rush Trail to Barkerville Historic Town & Park. In 1963 the province of British Columbia purchased 26-acres of the property and Cottonwood House became a designated provincial historic site. Much like it was when it was built in the 1860s, Cottonwood House offers a resting place to travellers between Barkerville and Quesnel. Today, this wheelchair-accessible provincial historic site will allow you to experience first hand over 75 years of the Boyd family history and the many features this unique heritage site has to offer. I was there on June 4, 2026, Gate was still closed.
