Debut 1857 as Alimar in " Belisar" by Donizetti at Graz.Made his debut at the Berlin Hofoper in 1859 in the title role in 'Robert de Diable" by Meyerbeer where he remained until his farewell performance as Count Almaviva '" Il barbiere di Siviglia" by Rossini in 1877
