Angelique Tulips a la Jan Davidsz de Heem

SSC: Still Life in the Style of the Old Masters. I found a still life of flowers painted in 1655 with lots of black that made the flowers pop. I used the tulips in my wife's garden (I did not dare pick any for this project). I found a preset on my newest version of Lightroom. I had been using my old version, LR 5. It gave a more painterly feel, so here is my offering this week.

A commendable composition, like a chiaroscuro painting. The mastery of light is remarkable. A 10 out of 10 for me.
Best wishes, Anton.

Respect for managing without cutting the flowers! They shine out of the dark, giving that painterly feel.

✅ Eine moderne Interpretation.
Richtig, dafür muss man keine Blumen abschneiden.

Definitely painterly - a really great still life, especially neat that the flowers are still in situ!
