I'd love to be able to see that film. I wonder if it will still be in the cinemas when I'm in the UK in the spring.

Steve Bucknell replied to MJ Maccardini (trail…:

If not, I’m sure it will be streamed somewhere. Excellent film, especially for any amateur photographer. He has such a great eye, such interesting obsessions and a lovely sense of humour. This is my quick tribute to his work, after asking a sympathetic audience member to pose for me.

The cute leisure society and the day-to-day lives
Excellent idea and execution, Steve

I like “angry young men” directors who fiercely criticize English institutions, and their works focus on the day-to-day lives of anti-establishment characters from the lower-middle-class and working-class,
like Ken Loach, Mike Leigh..

Steve Bucknell replied to J.Garcia:

We agree on Ken Loach and Mike Leigh. I, Daniel Blake and Hard Truths!

John FitzGerald replied to Steve Bucknell:

Yes, and then they'll wonder who that guy is saying he's Martin Parr everywhere he goes. Inquiring minds want to know.
