I like this picture, one that gives rise to a feeling of things not actually belonging to earth, things unearthly. Hipstamatic filter works wonders. Well done!

Steve Bucknell replied to Tan Tee Huah:

I have the same feeling. I’m trying to write something to explore this prompt.

Remembering the itinerant masons who carved these stones. How they became both a kind of trade union and mystical brotherhood - the Free Masons.

Skills passed on generation to generation: medieval cathedrals to Victorian churches like this one. You can feel these stones sing and vibrate.

Bells, choirs, marriages, funerals. This window watched me as I sat in the pew at my mother’s funeral. This high window a way through to the Churchyard.

That resonant word RESURGAM carved into gravestones. The clawed hand of the mason, spit of the stone. Immaculate inscription.

Window as way in to the womb. Photography as a practice that heightens our appreciation of everything light and dark that turns around us.

A wistful face, but it's stone. Quite the paradox. ;)
