Farewell, Madison

Good luck, little dog. If you weren't so strong and excitable when we tried to walk you every day, you would still be with us. We loved you, and believe you loved us, but we had to give you back. You need someone with a fenced yard, and they will help you find that person.

Hope he will, this is very hard.... for you, but for her too.

Thank you. The shelter is no-kill, and have some people who will work on her behavior, but she's old enough that we think a fenced yard, where she wouldn't need walks, would be the best for her, and we don't have one. And yeah, I'm still hurt about this.

So sorry you couldn't keep her, but yes, terriers (she is one, right?) can be both strong, excitable, and a little stubborn. Hopefully, she will find a situation better suited to her temperament, and you will find a new companion that is a bit more laid back.
