Alsa Craig View!

Ailsa Craig is an uninhabited Scottish island, a volcanic plug, and the world-famous source of granite used to manufacture curling stones. Located 16 km (10 miles) west of the Ayrshire coast in the Firth of Clyde, it rises 340 meters (1,114 feet) high and serves as a major seabird reserve
The land in the far left distance is Kintyre and on the right the Isle of Arran!

The image is captured from Ballantrae which is a scenic coastal village in South Ayrshire, Scotland, located at the mouth of the River Stinchar 13 miles south of Girvan. It is known for its views of Ailsa Craig and for its history as a smuggling port,

A lovely place to sit, Roger, weather permitting. Ailsa Craig was visible from every coastal point we visited in Ayrshire.

A fine view of the Island here Roger. Ailsa Craig was in fact the first Scottish Island I had ever visited whilst spending five days in Girvan many year back on my first visit to Scotland. I have not been back to the Island but it remains in my heart.

HBM, enjoy the week. Herb
