Just one of my many images from one of Scotland's most iconic and photographed landmarks, perched dramatically on a small tidal island in the western Highlands.
It sits at the confluence of three stunning sea lochs: Loch Duich, Loch Long, and Loch Alsh, near the village of Dornie and not far from Kyle of Lochalsh. The castle's picturesque setting, with misty mountains and often dramatic skies, makes it a favorite for visitors heading toward the Isle of Skye (it's just a short drive from the Skye Bridge).
I hope the very soft light and background mist gives this image a unique feel!
HFF and a nice second half of the week,,,,,,, a large view may be rewarding!
