River Nith, Bridge,
At Drumlanrig, Dumfriese and Galloway, The bridge is one of the main entrances to 120 room Drumlanrig Castle! which is the focal point of the Queensberry Estate,
(Photos of the castle to follow)
The river Nith rises in East Ayrshire and flows for 70miles (110k) into the Solway Firth,
At low tide, the sea recedes to such an extent that the length of the Nith is extended by 13 km to 113.8 km (70.7 miles), making it Scotland's seventh longest river
