Rings of Kintyre

Campbeltown is one of five areas in Scotland categorised as a distinct malt whisky producing region, and is home to the Campbeltown single malts, The weathered steel rings represent the copper straps around a Whisky Barrel, and the sculpture is called Am Baraille.

The Island seen through the rings is Davaar Island which is located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch off the east coast of Kintyre, in Argyll and Bute, It is a tidal island, linked at low tide to the mainland by a natural shingle causeway called the Dhorlin,

Beautifully captured and I love that you have framed the island within the hoops Roger. The sculpture is the perfect nod to the whisky industry in this region and the music is a wonderful classic, especially with the Linda McCartney memorial garden being so close by.

Well captured and presented and interesting notes
HFF and have a good weekend
