Blue Rope and a Bell

The Isle of Whithorn Parish Church (Church of Scotland) Originally built as a free church in 1844
In order to ring the bell it looks as though the blue rope has to be first untied from the rain water pipe, it may well not be rung on a wet day ;-)

The top pip shows a closer view of the bell tower and the second pip shows the position of the church wedged in between the Harbour and the Main Street,

HFF and a great weekend !

Dir auch ein schönes Wochenende!

Das blaue Seil oben an der Glocke ist bestimmt widerstandsfähiger gegen den Sandstein, als ein normales Seil. HFF, Rofer!

Great shots there Roger.. in the top 'pip' the rope appears to have worn away the stonework over the years of use.. Keep well and a ''HFF'' to you - from Dj.
