Noss Head Lighthouse & Post Box.
A hint of sea mist but otherwise good light, The Noss Head Lighthouse station
Once again I prefer the image large
Post Box in pip
For my personal Post Box Tuesday, A King George VI (1936-1952) post box on the gate post of the Noss Head Lighthouse Station, the inscription on the box and below an image of the complex reads as follows.
This letter box is located here to save the Postie a half mile round trip from the main gate to our houses and offices each day, over a hundred miles saved a year,
The Postie will always be welcome up at the main house for a cup of tea,
This mailbox is for convenience when the Postie is very busy,

Übrigens der Postboote hat in heutiger Zeit kaum noch Zeit auf einen Kaffee. Schade eigentlich!
