Ceannabeinne Beach, Durness, Sutherland. Another image from the back catalogue is not the best quality, but it does have a bench, white sand and azure water, plus it is a really beautiful area.
Ceannabeinne means head of the mountains, traditionally called Traigh Allt Chailgeag which means the beach of the burn of bereavement and death.
Eilean Hoan (the burial island) in the background is now a National Nature Reserve, formed of limestone it was until the clearances home to four families.
