Seaside Dereliction,

This was the site of Royal Pier Hotel Weston-super Mare, which was destroyed by fire in 2010 and eventually demolished by the local council, sadly this prime site is still undeveloped to this day.
The walkway forms a part of the walk from the derelict Birnbeck around the Marine lake and onto the re-developed Knightstone Pier and harbour. (See location map)

Graffiti artists have been busy and actually brightens up a very drab area.

HFF and a good weekend, but stay safe

We usually consider graffiti anti-social but sometimes it has benefits! HFF and best wishes for the weekend Roger.

A great capture Roger and thanks for the description too. We ran up these steps in torrential rain when we visited here briefly last year. Well done.

HFF, enjoy the weekend.

I don't remember that happening Roger, but it must have been on the local news. What a lovely spot for a hotel. I suppose you could say the graffiti brightens. A very interesting and informative shot. HFF and wish you a good weekend.

I love the colours and the graffiti does brighten up the walkway. I also love the colours in the stonework, particularly in this light which brings a touch of warm ochre to the scene
