Notation: Note on the Reverse reads; "Between the Band Stand and the Hill runs the River Souris. On the Hill to the right you can see some small trees and at the bottom ib the valley is Mr. Johnston's wood lot - the valley is a half mile wide. That's our way home to the left and around that bank. the river is at the bottom passes just behind the bandstand, around the town 200 yards below the cross again..."
The "X" on the right bottom corner is apparently where the new bank is to be built. (See the note on
MN1136 WAWANESA - SAVINGS BANK) The bank building that was built there appears to be still standing - now operating as the Royal Bank. See Google street view;
