From the bowels of the Earth

A few of the hundreds of fumaroles, hot springs, geysers etc. in El Tatio Geyser Field. It is the 3rd largest (after Yellowstone and Kamchatka) and together with neighbouring Sol de Mañana (Bolivia) the highest in the world.

One of the hot springs is used by tour guides for warming milk for breakfast

A fascinating series Gudrun...........and an interesting link. Your photos are excellent. Full of intriguing detail and almost abstract in nature.

I really like them all, but the images in the first and last PiPs are my favourites. What an amazing place to visit..!!

Impressive geyser! I wonder how frequent are its jet steam eruptions.

You have got to some most interesting places Gudrun. Another fine series from you here with these Geysers. I wonder how they fished those milk cartons out of there? Well done.

Best wishes. Herb
