Die 1984 eröffnete Neue Staatsgalerie (Arch: James Stirling, Michael Wilford & Associates) gilt als ein Hauptwerk der Postmoderne. Durch die Rotunde, mit der Stirling bewusst Schinkels Altes Museum in Berlin zitiert, führt ein öffentlicher Fußweg mit flachen Treppenstufen. Die Fassadenverkleidung besteht aus Travertin, unterbrochen von Sandstein-Bändern.
A beautiful series Gudrun.......I love the golden colours of the architecture and the clever way the stairs have been incorporated. The detail and textures are excellent.
I really like all three shots, but my favourite is the one in the first PiP, which is amazing..!!
