Almacen Artesania San Lucas

Caspana is a small Atacameño village at 3200m with houses built of local volcanic stone (ignimbrite). Although situated at the foot of the main Andean chain in the driest desert on earth, there is agriculture in terraced fields along the river Caspana.

Taken in the days before you preferred a cold country. Clearly the river provides irrigation which makes this area suitable for small businesses.
A hot wall. Let's hope you have a cooler wall at home, Gudrun.

Gudrun replied to Amelia:

Thanks a lot, Amelia! I was travelling in what is spring in Chile and the nights were really frosty;-) Desert climate is much easier to bear than European summers... Stay cool! We're expecting 35°C here :-(

Gudrun replied to Franck Chabal:

Merci beaucoup, Franck! We were coming down from over 4200m so 3200 felt like lowland;-)
