A small geyser field at ca. 4300m in Sajama National Park and near the border to Chile shows that this area of the main Andean chain is still volcanically active.
The geysers are relatively easy to reach via a dirt track from Sajama village (4x4 strongly recommended).

The first PiP is magnificent............the colours and shapes are simply amazing and I'm surprised by how clear the water is. Almost other-worldly. Definitely my favourite of this trio.
The second PiP is absolutely fascinating. It's difficult to imagine the forces underneath causing the water to boil up like that.
A cracking littles series Gudrun..!! **********
