I did not put that drink there. I did not touch it. Somebody else left it right there.

Lovely reflections and colours John. Halloween must be approaching!

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. Halloween has regrettably become commercialized. In my young days we'd go out, soap a few windows, yell at people to shell out, then go home and gorge ourselves. Now people have yards full of Halloween decorations to wade through.

Nights of terror;-) The drink must have tasted accordingsly!

John FitzGerald replied to Gudrun:

Hm. The idea of nights of terror may have put the drinker right off their drink, too.

A ghost left it there I would say.

$34.00 for a haunted hotel is a fair price on these days !

John FitzGerald replied to Léopold:

It certainly beats any hotel in Toronto.

Great reflections, John. Halloween is something we never had here, but in recent years it's being pushed commercially.

John FitzGerald replied to tiabunna:

Thanks, George. It's interesting that you haven't had Halloween until recently. Both Australia and Canada have about the same percentages of people of Irish descent in their populations. On the other hand, I grew up in a city with a lot of Irish people, so maybe my experience wasn't typical.

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

The Christmas onslaught here starts as soon as Thanksgiving (second Monday in October) is over, Keith. Après ça, le déluge.
