Thanks, Joe. The neighbourhood is named after a botanic garden about 800m from this corner, but indeed much of the district is singularly ungardenlike. Have a good week.

Strong colours and a jumble of signs! I always thought it was only Germans who have more signs than you can take in-)

And the street sign is wrong, Gudrun. I confirmed through Google Street View that at the time there were two street signs claiming to be at 79 Shuter, and that this was the one that wasn't. In Ontario, at least, signs often seem to be unhelpful or just missing. When you're passing through cities on a highway, for example, the signs often direct you to the least convenient exit. We seem to have the idea that you should know where you're going and if you don't we're not helping you.

A garden of concrete and steel -such are our times nowadays. A photo of colour and lines which in a strange way are quite pleasing. Well done.
